Home of the Steak in a Sack, the Camel Rider and the original Cherry Limeade
It all started in 1972. Nixon visited China. Hippies still flashed peace signs. The Dallas Cowboys won the Super Bowl. The Seminoles lost in the NCAA final. The Godfather ruled the box office. M*A*S*H debuted on CBS. American Pie topped the music charts. And The Sheik first opened in Jacksonville.
My, how times change.
In 2018, The Sheik is still Jacksonville’s favorite food stop and still serving up the best breakfast, Steak in a Sack, Camel Rider and our very own Cherry Limeade.
Aren’t you glad some things never change?

I am a very big fan of The Sheik Sandwiches. I think they have the best pitas in all of Jacksonville. It's my #1 spot for breakfast and I'll take a Camel Rider any day of the week.

My favorite thing at The Sheik is the Steak in a Sack, for sure. I love that the steak is grilled right there at the restaurant. It's always fresh and delicious. There's no better steak pita anywhere.

I make it a point to stop at The Sheik everytime I drive through Jacksonville. I discovered the Steak in a Sack and the Camel Rider several years ago when I was visiting Jax, and it's now rare that I don't stop in for one or the other everytime I'm up from Orlando. A 5-star fast food feast. - EatingOrlando.com
